The [3] best drugstore shampoos for 2023

the best drugstore shampoos

Following on from my blog post last week about the drugstore shampoos to avoid, here are the best drugstore shampoos in my opinion.

The last one is one of the best drugstore shampoos

What to look out for when buying drugstore shampoos?

What to look out for when buying drugstore shampoos?

When buying drugstore products, it’s essential to look at the ingredients.

Avoid drugstore shampoos If they contain:

❌ Sulphates

❌ Sodium

It’s a definite no-no. Another general rule of thumb is, if you can’t pronounce the ingredients, then put them back on the shelves.

Can I use any shampoo with any conditioner? (can I mix and match in the drugstore?)

Most hair care companies recommend that you use conditioners with your shampoos. I find that it’s not strictly true and I even find benefit in mixing my shampoo and conditioners to give my hair what it needs, for example, if I have used a clarifying shampoo, I will go in with a moisturising conditioner to replace the lost moisture that the clarifying shampoo took out.

drugstore shampoos that are good for your hair (from a Professional stylist)

1. Palmers

Palmers are free from Sulfates, parabens and other harsh chemicals that will cause damage to your hair.

Check out the current price of Palmers shampoo – here

2. Noughty

Noughty products are made up of natural ingredients.

3. Shea Moisture

Shea moisture is ideal for people with curly hair.

It helps to seal the cuticle down to lock in hydration, However, avoid it if your hair has low porosity as it will stop any hydration from getting into your hair.

Are drugstore shampoos healthy for hair?

Not all drugstore shampoos are good for your hair. Many people think that hairdressers recommend professional products to make extra money on your service, But this isn’t the case.

We recommended professional products because we know that they use quality ingredients that actually benefit your hair. They also aid hairdressers and yourselves by not stripping out your colour or making your hair unmanageable as a result of buildup and moisture loss.

We do understand that professional products can be expensive so here are some drugstore shampoos that are good for your hair and for your bank.

There are still other great shampoos. However, these are my personal top 3! If you use the code “LFTFORCHARDHAIR” it will get you 20% off your order on Look Fantastic.

I will be posting more hair-related blogs weekly, thanks for taking your time to read
